These sketches and research introduce my planning for my signature project. Intrinsic Living is about applying Biophilic Design to a care home environment to improve every day living for residents living with dementia. I have used a combination of hand sketching, digital sketching and photoshop collage to create these visuals. The initial ideas shown in the sketches show safe and secure ways of incorporating nature directly into this type of environment. The aim is to positively impact the quality of life for the residents whilst also encouraging independence and improve the sense of community. The sketches and research above shows the early stages of this project that will be completed throughout the rest of my last year at university.
