As part of the design process I think it's really important to make prototype models to scale as well as concept models. I have used the 3D workshop to create concept models. This can help if I'm at a bit of a stand still as experimenting with different forms can create a lot of ideas. I also make prototype models to scale as this is a really helpful way to understand the space I'm designing and sometimes highlights elements that may or may not work in the space.
