This project involved transforming a small spare room, that had become the 'junk' room, into a nature inspired office space that could also be used as a guest room. The room itself was very small however there was a bespoke bed built around the wall to make the best of the space. This then allowed space for a desk, a chair and narrow side table. The former wardrobe become a shelved storage space, hidden by a natural voile. A generous amount of natural light floods this space so the decision not to install a blind was made and light blackout curtains were used instead. The use of the plant canvas prints, bamboo plant, luxury leaf wallpaper and patterned cushions all provide a visual journey connecting these elements together. The existing wood flooring, door and curtain rail all complemented each other so these were kept to minimize costs.
